Dispatch 007: The Weight We Carry (The Bearer of Passage)
There is a point
when it stops feeling temporary.
Not because anything was resolved,
but because nothing was.
The words remain.
The conditions stay.
And over time, the body adjusts.
Altertness becomes baseline.
Uncertainty becomes routine.
Not sharp enough to resist, not
clear enough to understand.
Just present.
Carried without question.
Held without language.
It does not announce itself as fear.
It feels more like: hesitation, fatigue,
a constant readiness for something undefined.
This is how it settles.
Not imposed, but absorbed.
Not remembered as a moment,
but lived as a state.
And eventually, it is no longer recognized
as something placed upon us, but as
something we believe we are.
