WHAT DO WE CARRY?
WHAT WE CARRY: Effigies for the Weight of Humanity is an immersive exhibition exploring the invisible social, political, and emotional forces that shape contemporary life.
Through symbolic effigies, sculptural installations, written dispatches, and participatory experiences, the project transforms collective burdens into physical encounters.
Drawing on political satire, emotional commentary, and symbolic storytelling, the exhibition examines the systems, stories, and conditions we inherit, sustain, resist, and carry together.
Rather than offering answers, WHAT WE CARRY creates spaces for reflection and asks:
What is carried?
Who carries it?
And what happens when the invisible becomes impossible to ignore?

VISUAL LANGUAGE
The dispatches function as written artifacts within the world of WHAT WE CARRY. Combining political satire, symbolic storytelling, and emotional commentary, they examine contemporary systems through language, contradiction, repetition, and observation. Together, the dispatches and effigies form a living archive of the conditions we inherit, sustain, and carry.
MATERIAL STUDIES
The physical language of the exhibition is being developed through ongoing material exploration.
Concrete, rope, paper, textiles, metal, wire, wood, and archival materials are being investigated for their symbolic and emotional resonance within the work.
Each material contributes to a larger visual vocabulary of weight, endurance, memory, bureaucracy, burden, and resilience.
Rather than illustrating ideas, these materials participate in them, transforming invisible conditions into tangible encounters.
WHAT WE CARRY: Effigies for the Weight of Humanity is an evolving body of work currently moving from concept into physical form.
The project continues to grow through writing, material exploration, effigy development, exhibition planning, and the cultivation of partnerships that support its long-term vision.
Recent milestones include fiscal sponsorship through Creative Visions Foundation, the development of a public donor platform, and ongoing conversations with artists, institutions, and collaborators.

The long-term vision for WHAT WE CARRY: Effigies for the Weight of Humanity is a fully immersive exhibition environment where symbolic effigies, written texts, sculptural interventions, sound, and participatory experiences converge.
Visitors will be invited to move through a landscape of systems made visible, encountering not only what is carried, but how it is carried, who carries it, and what happens when those burdens become impossible to ignore.
Neither monument nor spectacle, the exhibition seeks to create space for reflection, recognition, and collective engagement.
